Honey glazed salmon

INGREDIENTS

SALMON

  • 4 (6 oz each) salmon filets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked or regular paprika

SAUCE

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

 


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Pat salmon dry before seasoning with salt, pepper, and paprika. Place aside. Adjust the oven rack to middle position, then pre-heat broiler.

 

  1. In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter and oil over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice and simmer for 30 seconds, or until the sauce is heated.

 

  1. Add the salmon, skin side down (if using salmon with skin) and cook for about 3 minutes. While salmon cooks, baste repeatedly with sauce from the pan by spooning it over the top of the salmon until the salmon is caramelized and cooked to the desired doneness.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley.
